Hunter received his BS in Chemistry from the University of Colorado, Denver in 2010. As an undergraduate, he worked in Professor Mark Anderson's lab where he studied electrochemical characterization of SAMs on Au and Pt electrodes. He also worked with Professor Larry Anderson to understand possible environmental impacts resulting from the use of various biodiesel feedstocks as an alternative fuel source. Hunter currently studies surface science and catalysis in the Buratto Group. In 2012, he was awarded a PIRE-ECCI fellowship. Upon completion of his Ph.D. in the Buratto Group, Hunter accepted a position at Intel in Hillsboro, Oregon.
